• 5.0 out of 5 stars from SPARTY 047 -- Keep Ironware seasoned : I have been cooking with ironware for over 30 years and now own 10 pieces in various configurations; a couple are over 100 years old! Must say that I learned a great deal of valuable information by studying the Lodge website. Spent a weekend with all 10 pieces in a 450 degree oven adding 3 layers of seasoning to the newly purchased Lodge ware and all other ironware in the house. Also purchased this chain mail scouring device and brush set they recommended after years of skepticism that these could possibly be superior to a stainless steel scouring pad. Must say that the results support what Lodge preaches – after each use I now scour all scorched on food with the chain mail and brush, using minimal to no soap and very hot water, before wiping dry with small ball of paper towel over a high heat gas burner, before spraying and spreading a very light coat of spray canola oil with the still damp wad of paper toweling. All the ironware remains with a shiny black coating which renders them as non-stick as any pan could be. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2020 )

They are so handy for a quick clean-up, or to get stubborn spots from pots & pans. These scrubbers are not up to the task - deteriorated quickly.
